I organized a workshop on saddle fitting in rural Wisconsin using the English riding saddle as an object of study to get local residents and Chicago art visitors talking about the contemporary concerns of sculpture through a newly shared vocabulary. A fleet of saddles filled the front lawn. The saddle fitting seminar was announced in the local newspaper by way of a hand written, advertisement. Neighbors loaned three horses for the demonstration. Twenty sawhorses were made by volunteers in Manawa, WI. The master saddle fitter, Gina Perilla was brought in from Maryland to lead the seminar.
